Brent North Conservative Christmas Dinner 2016

We hope everyone enjoyed themselves at our fabulous Brent North Conservatives Annual Christmas Dinner. The venue was spectacular and the food even more so. We all enjoyed your company greatly and thank you for joining us. 

Fly tipping in Sandhurst Road - Queensbury

Brent North residents are being urged to report fly tippers to help Brent council crack down on a growing problem which is costing thousands. Latest fly-tipping is in Sandhurst Road Queensbury.  

Dog Poo in Eton Grove Park

Local residents taking their children's to school in Princes Avenue walking past Eton Grove Park simply no longer see why they should have to put up with the foulness of the stuff in the Park, not to mention on their shoes and worse, their kids' clothes.

Damaged Pavements

Damaged pavement at the junction of Carlton Avenue East and Strathcona Road HA9‏. Many resident and school children crossing this junction daily and the pavement has been badly damaged and could cause injury to a resident walking on the pavement. We have reported this to Brent Highways department.

Reducing Litter and Fly-tipping

We again had rubbish dumped on Wimbourne Drive this week. We reported this once again to Brent council street care department to clear up. Fly-tipping in the area is mostly done by tenants in rented accommodations dumping their old mattresses, beddings household items etc. This constant Fly-tipping is bringing down the appearance of the area and every one suffers.  

Potholes in Queensbury Station Parade

Fix the potholes in Queensbury Station Parade. The number of potholes have prompted residents to get in touch with Brent Council and voice their concerns. Some of the potholes are six or seven inches deep. Residents have complained “They can’t make a safe manoeuvre and are driving over potholes and damaging their vehicles".

Reducing Litter and Fly-tipping

Brent Council is issuing ‘fly-tipping’ Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN) to a resident who illegally dumped rubbish in the borough following new powers give to local authorities across the country. This week we have reported fly-tipping again, to Brent Council on Sandhurst Road Queensbury at the corner of Princes Avenue, the area is regularly being fly-tipped.

Tackling Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour

Brent Safer Neighbourhood Board meeting with be held from 7pm - 9pm on Thursday12 May in the conference hall at Brent Civic centre. All residents are welcome to attend. The agenda will include an update on policing activities dealing with violent crime, including the recent shooting incidents. The board will be discussing potential projects for it to fund this financial year, including on domestic violance and gangs. Activities for community payback will also be discussed.
